What happens in the car, stays in the car…..

For the most part, driving a limousine isn’t particularly exciting, but on the occasions that something out of the ordinary happens, it goes well beyond the “typical” day for most people and is certainly worth detailing to anyone who might consider a sedentary vocation.

My clients were 95% corporate, and reliably mundane. Their basic requirements were: punctuality, reliability, courtesy, privacy and discretion, with the occasional injection of urgency. Periodically there were celebrities (nameless of course), but consisting of a cross-section of professional sports, government officials and entertainment.

I’d like to recount a couple of occasions which fall into the ‘atypical’ category. While these ‘atypical’ events were uncommon, the actions of particular individuals with elevated social status on various occasions were memorable, and worth sharing. The aim is to provide a small window into these activities which can hopefully be found amusing and/or enlightening.

One client, a regular I’ll call Mr. L, was an executive in a precious metals exploration, mining and development venture. He travelled extensively but was incredibly loyal to our limousine service. My guess is that he trusted his indiscretions with our discretion.
