It’s funny in a way that if you say anything less than 100% in support of Israel, you are branded as anti-Semitic.
I certainly feel for Israel and their geographic positioning, but the issues surrounding the conflict can’t very well be spelled out in a few sentences.
Then there is the anti-Palestinian media bias.
But…
It takes (always has, always will) two willing opponents to square off and fight.
“Justified” actions aren’t an excuse.
There is no clear evidence that fighting has ever solved a problem permanently.
When you consider the scientific advancements humanity has developed it is mind-boggling that we haven’t been able to produce a grievance settling mechanism that doesn’t involve blasting the opponent into oblivion.
It takes the same amount of effort, perhaps less, to sit down and talk it out than to duke it out.
I’m not trying to be over simplistic, I just think it’s long past the time where we wake up and realize that nobody wins in a slugfest.
