There’s no question you have scratched a festering wound.
Two diametrically opposed viewpoints with no middle ground, thought and ideology entrenchment and reluctance to meaningful dialogue are not a great combination for solving ANY problem, and allowing the killing of children in a supposed “safe” space (school) as a condition of Second Amendment rights seems, in every sense, to be a problem.
For those who demand the right to bear arms, and the interpretation and execution (no pun intended) of that right in its current format, may they never have their own children mowed down at close range with a high powered weapon capable of exploding human flesh into jelly.
There is, unfortunately, a very long road still ahead.
